Ms. Hanna Wendot Cheptumo is the Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture and Children Services in the Republic of Kenya. In this capacity, she provides strategic leadership and policy direction aimed at advancing gender equality, safeguarding the rights and welfare of children, preserving Kenya's rich cultural heritage, and promoting inclusive social development.
She brings to public service extensive experience in law, governance, community development, and institutional leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Diploma in Cooperative Management from the Cooperative College of Kenya. In 2006, she was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, marking the beginning of a distinguished legal career.
Her commitment to service extends beyond the legal profession. She has served in leadership roles on various boards and community-based organisations, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to ethical leadership, social transformation, and community empowerment.
