CPA Carren Achieng Ageng'o is the Principal Secretary, State Department for Children Services, in the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and policy direction in the development, coordination, and implementation of programmes and initiatives aimed at promoting, protecting, and advancing the rights and welfare of children in Kenya.
She brings to public service extensive experience in public sector management, tax administration, financial management, and institutional leadership. Prior to her appointment as Principal Secretary, CPA Ageng'o served as the Manager, Public Sector Division within the Domestic Taxes Department at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), where she played a key role in strengthening tax administration and enhancing service delivery.
CPA Ageng'o holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Accounting and Mathematics from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Moi University. She is a trained accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
